That asside, i now want to set up a fresh install of 11.0 and do everything the 'correct' way. But when i upgraded to 11.0, it wouldn't boot, problems with the nfs mount. You have more control over it and can update it when you want. I put up a FreeNAS 9.10 + plex media server setup, that have worked great for 3 months now. There is a brief guide on their website, however, there are a few things you need to do to get it working properly: Go to Jails > plexmediaserver > Storage > Add Storage and mount your files from your other ZFS volumes. It's a little more up front to learn, but IMO better in the long run. Plex Media Server now has a pbi that can be installed with a one-click installation from within the FreeNAS GUI. The other is through a jail you setup manually. The first is the plugin that you're using now. Stream all your personal video, music, and photo collections, as well as your preferred podcasts, web shows, and online news, plus thousands of free movies and TV shows, to any of your devices. And I forgot to mention earlier, there are multiple ways of installing plex server as a jail within FreeNAS.
